To give you an idea of who and what are Dimmu Borgir, they are a satanic Symphonic Melodic Black Metal band from Norway. The band consists of 3 main members Shagrath on vocals, on guitar, Galder and Silence on vocals and bass. Dimmu Borgir lyrics are usually about misanthropy, Satan, anti-Christianity, and rebellion. Most of the band coming from Norway, Black Metal band and believe it or not, is the number one export from Norway Norwegian Black MetalRecords.
The first song is an instrumental Xbir that might describe as a crazy intro Danny Elfman for a horror movie. Start with a roaring sound of a language is like God, then the song sound huge Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Angel's amazing how the voice of the choir Schola Cantorum.
The second song is born Treacherous takes you on a tour that passes through a roller-track arrangement of moods ranging from the epic sound of a rock barrier and then to a gruesomeMid-par that the bass sounds like a satanic hand to do it again in the chorus, and finally ends with the radiation doubled.
The third song Gateway is the first single-album with a music video released. The video is very dramatic, as always with the band in black metal with white clothes and jewelry look dressed. Shagrath ago while all the attention in the video Kjolsrud Agnete back with the high-pitched voice that could best be described as perfectBlack Metal expect from a female voice.
Now the fourth song chess the Abyss is a great example of what great Symphonic Black Metal spins a song about all the crazy solos, blistering fast bass, huge sounding epic symphony support of the main instruments and eventually there is a huge boom Deep End loud.
The fifth song is called Dimmu Borgir, the castle dark or dark means fortress. I think this song is about the history of the band itself. They know whatI speak, if you knew the story of the rough band. Shagrath with the leader of the gang members and even kicked out for unknown reasons. The third part of the first verse is: "What bridge to cross and which bridge to burn, deceit everywhere we turn, we can eliminate the weak and their cry." With the expulsion of members of a gang that can burn a few small bridges, when they may be able to cross some Dons.
The sixth track begins with something to say Shagrathlight acoustic guitar and then boom blast beat angel zero, followed by the usual black metal symphonic keyboards, but chicken in the middle of the song the keyboards to trigger back with what sounds like a tide. In 3 minutes and 24 seconds, the sense of the song changes and gets an incredible groove that only the forces to move.
The seventh title Demiurge Molecule I feel, is my favorite song. At first I was not sure of the song being played Foundationas Cradle of Filth and God forbid strange. As I do not expect anything other hand I feel changed, and in about 50 seconds of the song changes from a steady bass pattern on this slow dipping feeling heavy drums sounds then the only way describe short sprints may be the fastest double bass with orchestra Star Wars this style of music and Harley Quinn of Batman heading back! While all this is to go to the whole song sounds very scary.
The eighth song A jewel path from coal is the essence of a song true black metal and dark up to your face. The arrangement of this song is nothing short of a masterpiece that sounds like tribal drums with ease and takes the slow and disappointing battery time 3 / 4. With the battery call out for a few seconds, the guitar is just the speed of the song, while drummer has some explosions in Norway.
Song 9 renewal are just starting out with a heavy strange since> Guitar riff and leads into a solo bad ass. Shagrath vocal style is what I like black metal and what do I mean by this is that you can feel his excitement to have really deep voice and echo.
The last song on the normal copy of the disc and continued Fini begins with a very creepy tone and sound of water falling and rustling paper talk Shagrath. "Ages of the past, Abrahadabra, to last forever, providing the highest known." This song is a good summary of the wholeAlbums with the hardest of drums, bass lines, vocals and guitar riffs.
Although Dimmu Borgir took 11 months to create Abrahadabra and some had damage to their recent tour fears that the quality is still one of my favorite Dimmu Borgir album by far.
